How long have you been doing CrossFit? 6 months
How did you find CrossFit? Facebook advertising for New You Challenge
What is your athletic background? Not really an athlete; I have always had a gym membership and did cardio and weightlifting.
How has CrossFit changed your lifestyle and level of fitness? I jumped right in during the 6 week challenge and became hooked on CrossFit! The change has been incredible and beyond expectations I sleep better, am more active, and pay more attention to what I eat. I a ways to go to meet my fitness goals, I have no doubt I will get there if I keep showing up!
What is your proudest Fitness Achievement? (doesn’t have to be CF!!) I am most proud that I have been able to be an example for my family. Since I have joined CrossFit and have made the lifestyle change others in my family are also seeking to improve their fitness and health.
What are your fitness goals for 2020? My goals for this year are to do 5 strict pull ups, 20 unbroken double unders, lose 25 pounds (I will get there!)
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit? I enjoy playing golf and barbecuing.
What is your favorite cheat meal? I would love to have a doublemeat Whataburger with Onion Rings; haven't had one since I started at TCC!
If you could create a Workout of the Day, what would it be? It would have to include the moves I dislike most...50, 40, 30, 20, 10 Burpees, Situps, Front Squats then follow each round with a 200mm run!
Any advice for new members? Arrive with an open mind ready to work; listen to the coach's directions, and most of all don't be embarrassed to scale the exercise.
Additionally; I look forward to each and every day at TCC. The fellow athletes and coaches have been welcoming and inspirational; being around men and women that are living a healthy and fit lifestyle rubs off, they bring you along without realizing it.
